The Confederation exists as a modern restoration of the historic Scottish Free Gardener tradition. Its public mission is to preserve identity, archives, custom, education, fellowship, and lawful organizational continuity while respecting the independence of other Free Gardener bodies.

Some lodges and jurisdictions that once worked within or alongside the Confederation have chosen to continue independently. We respect their decision to follow their own route. They do not presently operate under, or hold recognition from, this Confederation.
